Some really good street food. Look out for vendors who have been there for several generations - they have a reputation to maintain. Alley ways behind are full of small enterprises selling everything from spices (visit the spice market) to paper, wedding invitations, saris, and ironmongery. You come out wired from the energy of everyone around you. Well worth a... More

Wandered round here as part of a walking tour; it was fascinating to see the number and range of stalls. Scary to see the meat stalls where the boys prep fresh buffalo hooves with a big blade held between their toes, not looking at what they're doing but chatting away to all and sundry! I never knew buffalo brains were... More

Chandni Chowk is one of my favourite places to visit in Delhi. It deserves a ricksha ride through and around in the area to take in the hustle and bustle if the streets, all street food vendors (don't sample unless you're sure you can take it), spice shops etc.

I often visit Chandni Chowk for my business visits but the place is much more than just business. You can find great tasting chats to sweets and some never seen items like Daulat ki chaat. Red fort is also nearby and KInari bazar, wholesale cloth market and jewellery hub kucha Mahajni is situated within. A must visit place if you... More

We travelled for some 30/45 mins through the manic busy streets. An interesting experience to be so close & exposed to the crazy traffic. We were not concerned at any time, but we did not really need it, or as long as we spent.

Crazy .. ........with crazy driver in the cycle rickshaw. I would have like to go on a walkabout and saw some amazing things to buy. First timers will struggle best is to go with a local and get lost in the shops. Will come back for this with guts.

Almost indescribable, you have to be there to experience the noise, the smells, the bustle, the colourful shops and stalls, the poverty and so much more. We took a bicycle rickshaw around the busiest streets which were so narrow that daylight hardly got through. Definitely an unforgettable experience.

The place is full of colours. The hustle-bustle, the buildings, the food, the markets and many other things, are just amazing. If you wanna see Chandni Chowk without the people swarming the streets, visit on Sunday. I will also mention two hidden gems in terms of food-Pappe ki Kachori in Charkhe Walan and Chholey Kulche at Lotan near Chawri Bazar(Best... More
