A little down-at-the heels, but worth a visit

This 18th-century tomb is not as grand as the 16th-century Humayun's Tomb but still worth a visit given Safdarjung's place in Delhi's history. We went on a Sunday morning, and there were about 5 people there, so it was very quiet and peaceful. It appears that it's being restored a bit, as evidenced by scaffolding on parts of the tomb.... The score is based more on the cost per person to get in. I know 200 rupees is not a lot but it is considering how similar but smaller temples and tombs are free around the city. The building itself is amazing you just do not get a lot of information for your money.

The refurbishment works continue. Every visit seems to be an improvement on the last. My first visit was more than 6 years ago.

an example of typical mughal architecture though could have been better maintained, this still calls for a visit.

Very nice gardens and tomb, only criticism is rude security staff doing scams with ticket collection upon exit

Went to Safdarjung's tomb last August at 7.00 in the morning and I had the site all for myself.. I really enjoyed being there alone, a luxury not always possible in beautiful, yet busy India.

This Tomb is located in center of Delhi. The architecture is typical Mughal and Persian. Tomb is above average but not properly maintained. Further, the entire complex has become a lover's point. So it can be avoided if you do not want to see couples doing ordinary activities in extraordinary ways.

Wallking distance from Jorbagh metro station-yellow line. Just follow the lane on the side of Indian oil petrol bunk and its 2-3mins walk. Best to visit early. Great place.
