Jantar mantar on the parliament street near connaught place is now a days become the dharna place for the peoples demands from the government to agitate there.Earlier this place was made to see the timings of suns shadows, time was calculated accordingly.

Jantar Mantar was built by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur in 1723. Basically, the complex has 13 astronomical yantras(calculators) which calculate the positions of various planets and sun etc. They also help to build astronomical tables. Similar constructions have been done by Jai Singh...More

Water yes, food, there is a snack bar. Toilets are also on site.
