Mumtaz Mahal; meaning "the elect of the palace" was a Mughal Empress and chief consort of Emperor Shah Jahan. The Taj Mahal in Agra was constructed by her husband as her final resting place.

The Jewel Palace is a huge expanse of beautifully planned grounds. It is lovely to visit during late afternoon, don't miss the sunset in one of its balconies, it adds a surreal quality. Be ready for the big crowds.

It doesn't hold much of information in it. It does talk about Mughal era but not that worth to visit. As it doesn't have much to explore.

The Mumtaz mahal is situated in Rang Mahal of Lal Quila in New Delhi . The ASI is maintaining an archeological museum here. It mainly exhibits artifacts and royal household of the Mughal period. it also exhibit variety of Mughal weapons. another interesting section is the gallery on Mughal miniature art and calligraphy.
