Lord Ranganathaswamy's temple is the centre of attraction. This whole area resembles with local culture and architecture. Also very greenish everywhere. A whole day is not enough to explore this area - treat for history buff.

Tippu Sultan's place. Lots of historical monuments to visit. Easy access from Mysore city by car or bus. Horse carts are available to take around Seirangapatna for good rate. History lovers must visit.

Located about 50 odd kms from Mysore city, this temple town has rich cultural heritage and history. It is famous for Lord Vishnu temple here, and the temple is well maintained. Lot of tourists flock this place. Queue system is good and keep in mind darshan timings of temple.

The city is mostly no different than what you will see around you. I found Srirangapatna temple just an average temple, but the museum of Tipu sultan is a must see.
