Yes it's 4am.. but you'll kick yourself if you don't do this. It's cold.. but so worth it. Wear hats, gloves and longjohns. Be prepared for a huge number of cars and people.

We reached this place at early in the morning around 4 a.m. It was quite cold and windy. But the view of sunrise made us forget the chilly wind. Very fascinating view when the sun rays falls upon Mt. Kanchendzonga. Great landscape view!!

It was teeth-chatteringly cold night. The trip from our hotel to the viewing point was chilly and, being frank, boring. But the entrance was literally festive, full of excited people, some still sleepy. The ticket booth was busy but speedily moving. There was a pretty...More

The beauty of this place is the sunrise view from this point in which we can see Kanchenjunga peak .Apart from this when the sun rises the beauty will double as this peak is high.

Up at 4.30 to go to beauty spot for sunrise...sounds idyllic and yes was amazing ... but was not expecting a rubbly summit with about 1000 other people and their cars!! But view well worth it.. of sunrise and mountain !

Undoubtedly sunrise is the time to go, which is why everyone does! However, it had been cloudy, so whilst the crowds saw a sunrise, they didn’t get to see the Himalaya’s. We missed all the traffic and were able to park right at the top...More

Check google or accuweather apps to get information about weather on that time. It takes around 45 minutes from Darjeeling mall to Tiger Hill. also do google about sunrise time, then book your own car before 1hour of sunrise.

Yes, parking on the roadside is available but remember if you go right to the top you will face a herculean task to return as the road will be blocked by vehicles coming uphill who arrive late.
