We started our journey from Madarihat which is around 100 km away from Samsing/Suntalikhola. We were five persons in the group. One of the main attractions was beautiful tea gardens both the sides in our way to. Samsing. At Suntalikhola you have to take the local car from the spot for the sightscene. They charge you Rs 400 for almost... More

Heard a lot about the scenic beauty and tranquil atmosphere of the place, but was immensely after going there. The place has a small wooden hanging bridge overlying a narrow stream. Full of boulders everywhere, where tourists are struggling their best to take some snaps as souvenirs. The WBFDC Tourist lodge located there looks nice from outside, but terribly ill-managed... Suntalekhola is a tourist spot in the Darjeeling District of West Bengal. The altitude of the place is about 650 to 950 m. It gets it name from a small stream: Suntaley Khola. In Nepali, Suntaley means orange and khola means stream. There are WBFDC cottages for the tourists to stay. Several trek routes originate from Suntalekhola, most of which... More

The cottages are located in absolute peaceful and beautiful location amidst jungle, hills and rivulets. The highlight of this place is the hanging bridge across the waterfalls. Once you enter the property, it is an absolute visual delight with so many varieties of flowers and plants. Absolute bliss for one day !!! Negative : (-) Cottages need maintenance. Our cottage... This place is at the end of a long and winding road amidst not so dense forest and can be reached after crossing a s small stream of cool fresh water via a cable bridge. The place is surrounded by hills and since we went during the monsoons they were all covered with clouds giving a very romantic touch to... More

Not so far from Samsing, Suntalekhola is located at a picturesque location, is ideal for a weekend break. The guesthouse from forest dept offers best location.
