After entering the gate, you forget the busy road behind. Despite the colorful pillars and wall murals, it is easy to see why monks call this home. This temple was constructed fairly recently so doesn't have the gravitas of older buildings. However the interior is spectacular with outstanding wall murals and a superb Buddha. Young novice monks are in the courtyard and are very friendly.

A small locality that falls on the way to Sukna-Kurseong-Darjeeling has this Large and beautiful monastery located on the road and can be easily located. His Eminence Kalu Rinpoche constructed this one hundred feet stupa that contains five types of relics and is an object of veneration to one who visits this sacred site. It is located almost 5 Kms... The long tomb is the main attraction here. You can see it from quite a long distant place. Gold color all over makes it more beautiful to see

Actually called the "The Great International Tashi Gomang Stupa" this stupa though spectacular at 100ft height is not what I found most interesting. The compound walls (both outside and Inside) are completely covered with murals of Tibetan gods. i have not seen so many variants of Manjushree or the other gods.
