Although the exhibit was interesting, they were dust filled, rendering some exhibits awful to look at.

Located inside the zoo.Lots and lots of information and tidbits in this one building. Anyone with an interest would highly enjoy themselves. No extra charges for this as it's included in the zoo entry ticket fare.

This place is inside and inter connected to the zoo. Tickets for both are common. Place visit as it outlines so many details of mountains and mountaineers. Surely a must visit.

Learn all about the first conquest of Everest to the present day, equipment, clothing, photographs and much about Sherpa Tenzing, local hero whose tomb is also on site.

A really well put together resource with good information and interesting exhibits. Quite emotional seeing Tenzing Norgays final resting place. When combined with ticket for the Zoo adjacent it's a cracking way to spend a morning or afternoon.

I really enjoyed seeing the Everest portion upstairs, but the bottom floor seemed like an afterthought and the taxidermy animals are in bad shape. Downstairs needs some work. Rove of Bhutanese King was impressive and other visitors seemed to enjoy it too.

Everest explorations. They also had displays of the clothing, cameras and other equipment carried. In addition there were displays of the animals, birds,... More
