Never a fan of "arts" too far fetched "nonsense", but I quite like this one. It's more like a kid's imaginary creations, bizarre and cute at the same time. Some headless roasted chicken look alikes were what I found most interesting. The whole setting with castle like buildings and "weird" sculptures you will feel like walking in a wonderland. The... An amazing experience. I had not heard of Brennand but his work is remarkable, whimsical, prodigious and a smorgasboard created by a real master. His works are displayed outdoors where you can stroll around several acres of garden and indoors in a gallery/workshop. Brennand is in his 80's but occasionally walks the site and chats with the visitors. You quickly... More

Plan to go early in the day because there is a lot to see. The artist is prolific and his ceramic sculptures are whimsical, haunting, organized and sometimes feel random. One of the most amazing places near Recife.

Located at 45 mn from dowtown in the outskirts, the Oficina F. Brennand is an old fabric of ceramic. A huge collection of ceramic masters pieces exhibited in the place where they were and are still created by F. Brennand. It's much more than an exhibition. It looks like a temple of an unknown civilization. A mythic and magic world... More

The place is not a simple warehouse of pottery. It's made of a lot of different buildings, including the Accademia, a very interesting art gallery with paintings of the artist. The ceramics works, in many sizes and shapes, are spread all over the site, in and outside the buildings. It's pottery and poetry. And if you are too tired and... More

Nice collection of ceramic art made by local artist with international acclaim. Beautifully maintained facility that is a remodeled brick factory, so interesting as local historical site as well as for the art content.

They have converted an old ceramic tile factory located in the middle of an agricultural area about a 35 minute drive from downtown Recife into an art studio, tile factory, and museum. I went has part of a tour, but since I am not much into modern art I didn't get much out of the exhibit. My favorite part though... More
