Visit the lions at the campus. We went twice. First time it was a bit hot and they were indoors. There is seating that’s covered and the you can view them through glass. The fountains, buildings, and landscaping are also very nice.

Great lil' school in AN EVEN-GREATER LIL' NEIGHBORHOOD... Have friend's whose kids think even moreso in that they're to REMAIN IN THE AREA AS THEY GRADUATE.... That tells me plenty...

We were actually at the Pope's Tavern (a local museum which is well worth the visit) and the curator there suggested we stop by the University of North Alabama to see their mascots, which are two lions. We were glad we did. The habitat is...More

As an alum, I'll rate the campus as an attraction, not as a graduate. My wife and I enjoy walking here. UNA is a very walkable campus with all its walkways, paths, sidewalks, benches, and little places to stop at here and there. Overall, we...More

My daughter initially overlooked UNA, but fate has brought her where she likely always needed to be. She is super excited about the major offerings and the college setting.

Went by this weekend specifically to see the Lions. They weren't out when we got there Saturday evening but when we went back Sunday they were out and laying around in the sun. The keeper was hanging out just outside the cage and she was...More

Adorable, clean campus complete with a Starbucks and Chick Fillet. Don’t forget to visit Una and Leo, the lions. Beautiful enclosure for them. Friendly, articulate students. Don’t miss the George Lindsey Film Festival in March that shows free films all weekend from emerging film makers!

UNA is an old college. Renovations over the last 20 minutes have only enhanced the original architecture of the campus. Yes, real lions live on campus and come out daily for visitors to watch. Don’t expect any lion fights or hijinks. They mostly sleep and...More

This university has a great track record for helping its students succeed. It’s faculty is outstanding and the staff and college administration work hard to put students first. It has a low student per classroom ratio, which allow instructors to spend quality time with students...More

Sorry don't know the feeding schedule but here is the number you can call 256-765-4100. Florence is in Central time zone so I expect best time to call would be after 9am.
