My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this lovely museum. We were given a private tour by the curator. She was so knowledgeable about W.C. Handy’s life. A must stop for Blues lovers.

This was an interesting visit to the home of the "Father of the Blues." The memorabilia is extensive and interesting. Our tour guide provided a great deal of information on this historic home. Many interesting items are on display.

In this small cabin, William Christopher Handy known as “The Father of the Blues,” was born. The memorabilia is extensive and the docent who spoke to us provided the right amount of context and information. Definitely worth a stop.
