Beautiful white sand, clean beaches. Perfect for a daily sunrise or sunset walk or both. So much fun trying to catch crabs at night with my grand daughter.

Although there is an entrance fee to park, being a now 1 1/2 year local, I always gravitate to this beach. Just feels more relaxing.

How do I start? An amazing beach area. Clean white sand beach. The water was so beautiful and clean. A pavilion just off the beach area to have lunch or simply get out of the sun. In one word Heaven.

This was the best day trip. Family friendly and clean! The birds didn't even bother us and the pelicans were so beautiful.

The whole stretch of beach is magnificent: clean, white sand, very wide. Swimming is wonderful. Sandy bottom, waves not too high when we were there. The park is a lovely contrast to the commercialism of the rest of the beachfront. The pavillion is attractive, there...More

The campground bathrooms and showers are nice and clean. A great cleaning crew takes care of them every single day. I didn't take pictures in there, though. That would be weird. LOL! Facilities are very well maintained... More

Yes I have seen them in the lake in the past. Not sure if you have to obtain a permit. If you do I would think you could get one across the street at the state pier
