We stayed at a local campground and found it very peaceful. The lake was huge with many branches. We drove to the dam area and was not impressed.

The Smith Lake area is beautiful. Some many large homes along the shoreline that are gorgeous to look at. Swimming, boating, water sports and fishing are all available in the tri-county area.Trout fishing below the dam can be a wonderful experience.

This is one of the nicest lakes in the United States. Crystal clear water - rated second cleanest lake in the US dammed lake system. Great for boating, tubing, surfing, floating and sightseeing. Rock cliffs are amazing. Bring the whole family.

One of the best lakes I've been too. Water is perfect. Good local restaurants. Kids had a blast. Loved relaxing and just floating. Now looking for vacation house.
