When we reach the place around 2pm and there isn't any tourists and we decided to not to go in as the entrance fee is too expensive. We are told that we must buy the complete package which cost about rm 160 for adult and rm 145 for child. We told then we don't need the meals as we have just taken but got rejected. A place without seeing any tourists must be a damn lousy place so avoid at all cost and don't waste time.

The A Famosa Safariland was a good day out for the family. It was interesting because we got to see the wild animals like tigers, lions and hippos up close (this is the closest to an actual safari in Malaysia). These animals were roaming about next to the jeep as we rode by. There were security gates for each section. The driver of the safari jeep introduced us to the animals that lived there and their names. He also gave us interesting facts about these animals. After the ride, we walked around the area on foot. Then, we took a raft across to Monkey Island. All in all it was a day well spent. The only gripe we had was the wait to take a ride on the jeep. It was understandable as each ride takes about an hour. However, when our ride arrived, a group of people came to measure the truck and took photos of it. It left us and the other waiting for a good long 10 minutes (we were already in queue for quite a bit before that). No explanation was given.

We stayed at Condo D'Savoy 2 rooms apartment. It is very basic which is okay as we only stay for 1 night. First the toilet doesn't work. I called the maintenance and they came within 20 mins which is very efficient!
At 7.30am there are someone in front of of door and rang the door bell three times in a rush manner and then open the door with 'master key card'. Luckily we have the bolted door latch. It was a man and we asked him what he wants. He just said sorry and went away....
Imagine if the latch wasn't bolted? We were terrified as I traveled with 3 children.

Not going to comment on the animals and their upkeeps, it has been mentioned several times in these reviews and I was expecting that before our visit.
What we didn't expect was the obvious safety issues encountered during our visit. One of it was when entering into the truck, there was a gaping distance between the platform and the truck due to the truck poor positioning. It was almost 2 feet at some points and there is nothing to cover the gaps. Small children had to be carried across and it is an accident waiting to happen.
And the truck itself, is really a poor choice of transportation to bring people. NO seatbelts, no safety features other than handle on the chairs to keep yourself steady during the rocky and sometimes recklessly fast ride. I was holding my 2 year old was beginning to regret to got ourselves into the ride the moment when the driver sped when going downhill on the rocky slope, guess he did that to add to the fun, but without any safety features, it was hazardous. There were a few adults standing during the ride when they should be sitting down. We were constantly rocking back and forth and side to side, I can see many ways people can get theirself hurt in these situations. Also, the noise the truck is making is really loud, we can't hear a thing what the guide were explaining during the ride. It would have been a traumatic experience to children with sensitivity to loud noises. The door lock is a fairly simple mechanism that unlatch it self due to the rocky movement. The ride obviously a poor man's version of safari ride. Those who can't see the safety issues here shouldn't operate a dangerous activity like a safari ride. Just stick to animals show.
Talking about animals show, you shouldn't spray your visitors with water of unknown cleanliness with your elephants. Its just not hygienic and stupid. We didn't plan to get ourselves wet as well, ok.
Food is poor, chicken smells funky. Luckily we didn't get catch any bugs or what. Waited 45 mins for food to arrive at 12:30 and greeted by rude staff like we are some sort of freeloaders. Another regret.
After lunch, there we no direct route to exit, we had to endure another sunny and smelly walk through the same route we took before.
The only high point of our experience was the pony feeding and elephant feeding. I don't mind the RM 5 for a bunch of long beans coz my children had fun feeding them.
We didn't try the elephant ride coz of safety concerns after the safari ride. Was looking forward to that actually.
If you looking to how a safari park should be, go to Bangkok's Safari World or Nong nooch. We had a lot of fun there.

Visited zoo and safari, safari give me different kind of feeling. Seeing animal in a cage at zoo, and animal see us in a truck. This safari also provide 4 kind of show, stunt show, bird show, multi animal show and elephant show. They also provide tiger feeding experience, totally safe in a cage. Will back again next time, after my baby boy grow up a little.

The safari is very good for young kids, so many animals to keep them entertained.
They really enjoyed seeing the animals that they only seen on books in real life. And the best is the animals weren’t caged like in the zoo. There’s a lot of interactions. Do brush up on your animal knowledge b4 u go, there’s so many questions coming from the kids!
The giraffe and the hippo were special, don’t see a lot of them in Malaysia.
Kids can’t wait to come back.

We booked a villa with a private pool for a weekend getaway. My kids loved the Safari park with lots of animal interactions, the Water Theme Park as well as Cowboy Town. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience for the entire family. There was quite a variety of food for the buffet spread. The bummer would be the high rental rates of Tubes and Gazebos in the Water Theme Park as well as food and drinks inside the Theme Parks.

Bit hard to do all 3 in one day. I did the safari in slightly more than half a day as we had to leave earlier. Also gets busy in the afternoons.
