It's a simple fountain, the plaque is the only real indication of what it is and why. During the British occupation it was probably quite popular, It is located in the city center across the road from the beginning of Jonker Walk.

Given it was built to commemorate an English queen, it is odd to choose a medieval Italianate style fountain. But it is veer attractive.

Queen Victoria's Fountain is in the middle of Red Square, a church and very interesting museum, both worth view. The square is an ideal place to buy a trishaw ride and be shown the various sites and how the roads link up

Well preserved dutch fountain. Lots of people taking photo of it and it's a bit hot. Anyway, worth visiting.

Anyone who makes a special trip to view this will be very disappointed. No doubt history buffs will be interested. It forms a fairly minor place in the general surrounds
