State government should lease out to private sector instead of neglecting this place. What a waste of money.

I've heard that there's a fruit farm somewhere in Melaka. With lots of different fruit trees to see. Its called the Melaka Tropical Fruit Farm in Sungai Udang.

The entrance fee is really cheap. RM8 for adults and RM6 for children. After you pay the entrance fee, you will be given a bag of dried corn to feed the ostrich or the deers. There were not much people there. Perhaps people were afraid of the corona virus or everyone knew that there were no fruits available. Cause there were not a single fruit on the tree. Some were just coming out.

You start at the Rabbit house. When the kids got really excited carrying little bunnies and playing with them. The larger rabbits are kept in a cages. The best thing about this place is you can drive around in your own car. There is a tar road around the farm. After the Rabbit house, we took a drive to the Quail house passing by bamboo plantation and fruit trees minus the fruits. Very sad.

There were nothing much to see in the Quail House. The staff at entrance mentioned. They are in the midst of replacing the quail with something else.

Then we moved to the animal enclosure which had cows, ostrich and deers. You could feed the ostrich and deers with the corn they provided at the entrance. But we fed the deers. My kids enjoyed feeding the deers.

After that we drove looking at different fruit trees. I even found out how a durian flower looks like. LOL.

In the middle of the park there's a lake surrounded with little chalets that you can rent. Also a camp ground. There is a bunch of school kids camping there.

My verdict

It is a good place to visit, as the place is big and you can feed bigger animals like deers, ostriches and cows. According to the staff there the best time to visit is June to Sept. They said you can pick and taste the fruits when it is in season. But durian is chargeable. The good thing you can move inside the comfort of your own car, instead of walking in the sun. The best part is that my 'budak bandar ' kids got to feed deers. They were not keen on feeding the ostrich. They had so much fun. Everyone slept on the way back. Do take note this place closes at 5pm.

The potential of the attraction is there. However, Melaka government need to rejuvenate that place and do a proper and major maintenance.

We came on Saturday with hope we can get a tram ride or my daughter can ride a poney/horse. Unfortunately both not available. We just wonder, 2019 is year of visit Melaka but they seems took the opportunity for granted.

Hopefully it can be improved further to attract more people.

The place is awesome.we went on 15/8/19 and spent almost 3 hours.the kids loved the rabbits, cows, deer and there were some wild monkeys as well.we paid rm51 for 8 of us,and drove our car inside the farm.rambutans were aplenty, they were just at the end of durian season,so no durian in sight.nevertheless the kids had fun as the place is huge and kept clean.we were allowed to pick the fruits as much as we liked.the experience is priceless, especially for city kids to be able to see the animals in real life and feed them.also picking the fruits from the tree, atleast now they know not everything comes in a can, or mcd🤣.we saw some chalets inside the farm, and some companies conducting their team building there.if we happen to be around the area,we will surely visit again.

We visited the farm on 9 June. We travelled for about 30min from the Melaka Jonker area via Grab. When we reached, the person-in-charge told us that it was not the harvesting season so there were no fruit-picking and fruit-tasting activities available. Rafting and all other activities were not available that day too. We should have called before going to find out about the activities available. There are quite a number of durian, mango and rambutan trees around the farm. The farm is huge. It would have been worthwhile if it was during the harvesting season. The mini zoo was the highlight for the visit. Visitors can feed the deer and ostrich. No roaming animals found in the farm.

Visitors should call to find out about their activities before making a trip, otherwise, you will be disappointed.

The reviews that talk about not going here when the fruit is out of season are completely missing the point! We went in mid-May and it was FANTASTIC. We hired bicycles and cycled on all the tracks round the farm, stopping off to play with the rabbits, taste the honey from the stingless bees and feed the ostriches and deer. When we got back to the office they gave us water and fresh mango and it was just what we needed! A perfect way to spend the day outdoors and appreciating what these guys are doing for agro-tourism.

Having come in late August and September, there were no more fruits and therefore a huge disappointment.

There’s practically nobody at the fruit farm. Costs 15rm per adult for tram and 7rm per child for tram. Went on a non tram day and we could drive our van in in the comfort of aircon!

The best part is the unlimited feeding at their mini zoo:) the deers, ostriches, horses and cows are cute.

Went there as part of my university's curriculum. The place is vast with fruit trees such as durians, rambutans, Mangosteens and coffee beans. Chalets and hostels are provided for guests. There's activities such as the flying fox, water rafting, and animal feeding.

Took a family visit to this very interesting area of fruit specialties We went out of season for the sweet fruits however saw other things such as Honey bamboo, where they demonstrated the cutting for bean shoots to eat. Coffee bean trees which were flowering and I mistook for Jasmine, also various other types of trees.
Recommend you take the guided bus trip to help you understand what is there and very helpful and informative.
There is also a small petting zoo with deer, ostriches and small ponies. Hope you like the photographs and this review is helpful. Thank you for looking.

We went in the wrong time as it is not the season for fruits. However, they have in house animals and they also provide farm stay. A nice place to visit.
