The advertising material promised 400 species of birds. It's either false or aspirational because there are maybe 50 species of bird, if that. There would only be about 100 birds in total. The birds are pretty and the red macaws can be encouraged to sit on your shoulders by the staff. If it were 10RM entry I'd have said it wad good value but at 24RM its disappointing and I wouldn't recommend bothering unless you have young children who haven't seen many parrots.

Small park. Too few visible birds to stretch the visit to more than an hour. Many chickens. Clean premises and friendly staff. Parrots at the upper platforms were the highlight of the park.

Easy to find along the Jalan Botanical. A lot of free parking spaces and a entrance fee (including food for the birds) RM20 for a tourist and RM15 for Malay. A very nice area (if it is not busy). Birds are acting like security guards and follow where ever you go. Especially two ara's.

I have been looking forward to visit this place as a lot has been said about it since its opening in 2013. At that time, it was reported that the park has up to 400 species of different birds, However, during my visit there, I certainly did not encounter that many species of birds. Infact, the number of birds I encountered was far less than that.

In a way, it was really disappointing. Having visited the Bird Park in Kuala Lumpur, I was expected at least something to that standard.

Despite that, it was certainly a great experience for the young ones as they are able to get up close and personal with some of the birds here. The birds will virtually eat out of your hand, thus enabling the children to interact with them to some extent.

However, the lack of birds certainly did leave a bad impression.

I had visited this park before. it was an enjoyable place. We spent a couple of hours. Today's revisit was totally disappointed.i talked to the workers and they told me it has been like this since privatisation. they also informed that it is similar with the zoo. very few animals. Malacca is off the vacation destination.

Well, not quite no birds, but certainly not what it purports to be. It's basically a parrot park. A lovely big aviary with what they describe as a canopy walk, though there is no canopy as such to speak of, and everything looks very nice, if you don't look too closely. Reasonable entry price, too. But if you have been to any other bird park in the world, you will be expecting two things. One, lots of birds, and two, lots of variety. What you have here is perhaps a couple of dozen parrots and macaws, two or three peacocks and the rest is chickens (yes, I wondered about that too!) and pigeons. No, really - pigeons! The publicity talks about Malaysia having over 700 varieties of birds, which it does, many of them spectacularly beautiful. But absolutely none of them here. not one. Unless you seriously believe people want to pay to see pigeons and chickens. Major disappointment, an utter waste of a very good but already poorly maintained facility and frankly the closest I've ever come to asking anyone for their money back.

I have been to KL Bird Park and Phuket Bird Park, the kind of with birds shows and stuff. But none have I experienced something as good as this one! Me and my husband and a baby went here on 7th February 2017. We bought birdfoods at the counter. Upon stepping inside the park with the food, we were being 'attacked' by those birds! It was magnificent! Macaw, cockatiels, Congo African Grey, Loris and Lorikeet, Peacock, Medium Sulphur Parrot and many more surrounded us for the food in our hands, holding on to my legs, bags and head! Even though without any shows, we love it this way coz we got to hold them, play with them, see many distinct personalities that these birds have. The platforms are high, but they got an elevator to get us there. We stayed around a little while just watching those birds hanging around us so near. The place is clean and not that big, suitable for family who refuse to walk that much with babies and kids. The price of the tickets and food will be use to mantain the place and those lovely birds, so we didnt fuss over that too much. We will definitely come again!!

It was a very very small bird park.
You can't find more than 5,6 species of birds there.
The interesting part of visiting was feeding the birds by my 3 years old daughter.
But the bird's food package was expensive. Rm 10 for 3 small box of water, corn and nuts.
The thicket price was around rm 7.
