This is located in The Shore Gallery and is 40 RM per adult and 30 RM for those aged 60 and above. We received free bookmarks as a souvenir. The touch pool is open and there are many exhibits to see. There is also a 3D show and it was much better than expected.

Was a little hesitant to pay 40rm to enter an aquarium built in a mall, and only saw families with kids queuing. But a great variety of tanks and fishes were seen, some tanks were big too. Totally worth the money

We arrived in Malacca in the afternoon. As our hotel room wasn't ready, we walked around and ended up at the Shore Oceanarium and decided to give it a go. As many have observed, it is not as big as Aquaria but overall it is a good indoor attraction. We enjoyed strolling from one exhibit to another. Quite a good variety of species. Places to sit for the elderly. No toilets though. The touch pool was out of bounds as they were adhering to Covid-19 SOP. With each ticket, we were given a keychain (Nemo keychain) and 3D glasses for the one of the video presentations inside.

Although not as big as KLCC Aquaria, but the fish collection such as stone fish and 3D presentation with 'chair' effect is a good surprise. My family love it.

I like this place, I really really do! The place is technically a zoo, but showcases the ones living underwater, and those reptilians / amphibians animals.
Highly informative, with clear descriptions of the animals on display. I recalled be8ng able to touch the starfish, but all other animals are out of bounds.
Clean, and noy smelly! That is my pet peeve, and that is also the reason I prefer this place to others.
Fun, family-bonding time. It suits the kids just fine, and adults alike.
Highly recommended!

Upside: This aquarium make up the small size with technology, it features a 4D cinema, VR experience, interactive content and lots more fun activity to keep your young kid occupied.
Downside: The variety of species is little and the aqurium size is small.

Can’t say we didn’t enjoy the visit to the place but there is no “wow” to it either.
The aquatic display is interesting enough to entertain the kids (below 10yrs), and there is enough interactive items (touching some of the fishes n answering the quizzes) to make the visit interesting. But one also notices that the upkeep of the place is poor. Some fishes or even the king Alaska crab was replaced but the display label was not updated. Some display labels were simply removed. The feeding pond is sadly filled space..... don’t bother paying 10RM for the little box of fish-flesh.

For those who went to the Aquarium at KL dont waste time go to this one at Melaka. Is way smaller then the one in KL and is quite expensive. Not worth it...

For those of you who have been to KLCC Aquaria, you will notice that there's a stark difference. The Shore Oceanarium lacks exotic species and most of their marine life are of the common types found in a good aquarium shop. To make up for the expensive ticket prices, they have virtual reality games, 3D Art and movie and extras like badges and fridge magnets. My kids had fun so I'm ok but I can't help feeling if they removed these extras, the ticket prices shouldn't be that expensive.
On a side note, the mall this oceanarium is in looks like many shops might close.

If u have kids, suggest u take a grab. It's not that expensive but safer than walking over since high traffic flow..
