It’s a nice stroll. It’s like the French quarters but without the drunks, loud noise or crowd. The buildings are made with the french style a lot of nice restaurants.

this is a small answer to bourbon street in that there are a lot of choices for food and drink. It is all very close to the hotels and that makes it convenient.

Downtown early on Saturday morning for Downs Syndrome Walk and Market in the Square. Stayed until around 1:30 and had lunch. Lots of people out but not crowded. Live music in various places. Great place to bring the family on a pleasant fall day.
