My family of 19 wanted to add some history to our family trip and by default we ended up here. What a great default this turned out to be for us. We were greeted by the most delightful person. In plain part of town. But safe. Really learned a lot. Meet and spoke with founder. What a treat. They have had impressive past exhibits such as from the national Smithsonian. Holds an impressive sell out dinners to honor local leaders annually. They host worldwide visitors and bus tours regularly.

I can't believe this is even on here trying to get unknowing tourist to travel into the highest crime area in Mobile. If you go take an armed guard with you, you will be robbed

National African-American Archives & Museum in Mobile, Ala. is the best historical museum of record I have ever visited. It's a must see "for All Americans" who visit the city of Mobile.
