I really enjoyed going through this museum. It's not large at only about three small rooms, but if you're interested in medicine and will actually read about things and not just walk casually through it's well worth it. I believe we spent two to three hours there. When we arrived we were shown briefly what each room included and then... More

Shared the link to this museum with a family member who collects odd medical instruments from the past. Thought she would love to plan a special trip to visit. So funny when she told us she thought it strange there would be a mobile museum. Took her a while to realize it was actually in MOBILE, AL! Neat place, unusual... More

Take some time and schedule a visit to this museum. The tour guides are great and the collection is superb. You will find rare and interesting medical devices and teaching tools going back to the 1850s. Well worth a visit.

I only marked as "poor" because they only offer scheduled visits in the summer--it was not open daily to the public but only by appointment. This being the case we were unable to see this museum due to our schedule not coinciding with the museum staff availability.

I took my 12 and 14 year old boys to this museum. They typically don't like museums but they loved this one! So did I. Raven gave us a great, private tour. She has a great attitude and an impressive depth of knowledge. Interestingly, the museum is housed in the oldest home in Mobile.

This was a very interesting museum and offered a great view into the history of medicine and medical procedure. Our hostess was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We enjoyed the tour and were happy we decided not to explore alone.

I highly recommend the Mobile Medical Museum. My wife and I really enjoyed it. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour really enjoyable. If you are in Mobile you need to make a reservation to see this.

The museum was small but crammed with displays. We saw old things and some newer things. It would be interesting if there could be the newest thing shown next to the oldest thing (like the stethoscopes did). It always amazes me how far we have come in the medical field, yet still have so much we don't know. You have... More

Really enjoyed all the interesting artifacts and was very cool to get a personal tour. They are normally open Tues - Friday I believe so those would be the best days to plan to see the place and you do need to call and make an appointment. Unfortunately we were only available on the weekend but Amanda came in anyway... More
