The museum is a great place to buy,see and learn about Mobile Mardi gras. There are past costumes of past kings and Queens very nice.

The Mobile Mardi Gras Museum is a "must see" for anyone visiting or living in the Mobile area and wanting to know the history and impact of Mardi Gras in Mobile. It's colorful part of our heritage is what makes Mobile unique and playful.

You must put this place on your list of things to do in Mobile. Not a large building, but packed with history, flamboyant costumes and float memorabilia. You have a guided tour then afterwards you can look around by yourself and take as many photos...More

Amazing to learn Mobile was the birthplace of Mardi Gras! The pageantry, history and regalia was most impressive, but what made the whole visit was the docent. He was such a hoot and even wrote a book about it! Thank you for the entertainment 😉.

We had a bridal shower here . It was wonderful . The people that worked it were very helpful and only wanted to make us happy . Everyone had a wonderful time . The tour was grand and very interesting. Would have another party there...More

The location of the Mobile Carnival Museum used to be the Mobile History Museum and it housed the displays you describe. In 2005 that museum moved to a larger space on Royal Street and it is now known as the History Museum... More

I did not remember how much we paid, but I see someone has answered that. My grandkids ages 9 and 11 liked it. Be sure to buy some Moon Pies. they were great - wish i had bought several boxes! Hope you have fun.
