We made a quick stop on the way to florida and we could've stay longer. A beautiful plaque and garden/park to representative an amazing women. Reading and looking at the pictures were overwhelming. A wonderful experience for all ages. My 18 year old daughter was just as moved as my 74 year old parents. The court fountain is across the... More

Just a short walk from the Rosa Parks Museum and Library you can see this marker on the street. It's just hard to imagine what actually happened right on this very spot all those years ago.

The Rosa Parks Arrest Site is essentially a marker where the arrest event took place, but there is nothing to see. The marker has a plaque on it to commemorate the event. The Rosa Parks Museum just up the road, however, is an excellent museum.

Visited the Rosa Parks museum and this is an extension of the history of this wonderful city. To actually stand where such important history took place is phenomenal!

We came downtown in a time crunch intending to see the Rosa Parks statue in Rosa Parks museum. What we didn't expect was to see the sign marking the historic spot where Rosa Parks was arrested. (And a couple blocks away where another sign discusses the 30-minute trial.) There on the sidewalk in front of the Rosa Parks museum is... More

Although there is not a lot to see here, for those interested in following the path of those involved in the civil rights events, it is a place that must be seen,

We went on a trolley ride and our driver was so kind. He went beyond his job to tell us about the history of Montgomery while he was driving his route. It was very surreal to actually see some of these places that you hear about in the history books.

Blessed to have experienced this with our children. Very humbling to read about and see pictures and places of those who faced the struggles and paved the way for us.

What an experience to be standing in the footsteps of Rosa Parks. There is signage for visitors to read and mark the significance of the location. Next, be sure to visit the Rosa Parks Museum!

There is not much time involved but a visit there completes the entire Rosa Parks experience. It puts things in perspective as to location and distances!
