My husband and I have been going to the Shakespeare festival plays in Montgomery, Al for our entire married life, 25 years. We always enjoy the plays. A Christmas Carol is one of our favorite. Check out their website, they have some awesome plays coming up for 2017!

This is one of the beautiful place to visit in Montgomery. The surroundings of the theater is awesome, it has small lake full of ducks and beautiful park. The show itself was enjoyable, my daughter really love it.

A true cultural treasure lives just outside Montgomery, Alabama,The Alabama Shakespeare Festival. The Festival presents a mix of contemporary plays and musicals alongside Shakespeare and other classical offerings. The theatre is beautiful and located in a gorgeous park setting just outside town. This is a first-class operation on every level. In addition, it's located just off the freeway and easily... More

Saw the matinee performance of The Mousetrap on October 1. Loved the set! Great performances by the entire cast. Our seats were on row H numbers 111 and 112. Those are great seats, and because of the divider there, you don't have to worry about seeing over the head of the person in front of you.

Winton Blount donated the ASF to Montgomery in the mid 1980s and ever since its been one of the best regional theaters in America. They will have Shakespeare and other world class playwrights, as well as world premieres. I just saw Charlottes Web-very good.

This was our first time attending a play and what better to see than Beauty and the Beast! Our seats were easily accessible and during the performance, the actors walked right by me, which instigated a seat change request from my youngest granddaughter! The only issue we encountered was the restroom. Down on the bottom level and only on one... More

I attended Beauty and the Beast at the Alabama Shakespeare Theater on Saturday June 23. Loved the photo ops as you entered the theater along with a craft/dress up area for the young theater goers while waiting for the play to start. I will say that there is not a lot of leg room in row N. My husband is... More

One of my favorite things about living in Montgomery is having the ASF right here in town. The productions are all first rate. When someone attends a show here for the first time, they are usual blown away by the atmosphere and the performance. If you have never attended, it is a real treat. If you are visiting town and...
