High rise heaven

All high rise and lights at night, quite spectacular and many of them you can visit and view the Bund and general Shanghai. Worth a look.

Its a very modern building that has been built recently. Luckily my office was in the same building so didnt have to go out of the way to visit it. However please do pay a visit to the mall inside the IFC as well, which has a huge collection of brands.

These present excellent photo opportunities. Huge tall impressive buildings which light up at night. Can go to the top should you choose.

It's worth it to walk around and experience life of the office crowd working in Pudong. Alight at Lujiazui station and walk around. It is a must to pay for the ticket to the observation deck. The view up there was breath taking. We made a mistake of going too early in the day. Best time to visit would be... More

The Building is called a bottle opener as it looks from far. Great and beyond imagination of architecture. And great experience inside with the glass platform seeing through to the ground from elevation of more than 400 meters height.

This is arguably the best place to get a view of Shanghai. It is a definite must see. You should probably come at night when it is clear so you can get a glimpse of all the lights. Anytime is a good time except maybe for a cloudy day lol but it is still very impressive!

Can be done in 30 minutes. Good view if you get it on a clear smog free day. The observation decks are small. Good chance to snap a few picks. There are gift kiosks and some restaurants.

This is where the large buildings are in Shanghai and some nice places to eat near the river. Also the worlds 2nd tallest building (Shanghai Tower) was finished this year and well with a visit to see over Shanghai.

Excellent views. Enjoyed going up and seeing Shanghai from above. Unfortunately if the sky is smoggy, you can only see so far. We managed to see at least a few kilometres into the distance.

Staying in Lujiazui

Neighbourhood Profile
Lujiazui
When people speak of Shanghai’s futuristic skyline, it’s the financial district of Luiazui they are speaking of. Shanghai’s most iconic buildings are located in close proximity to Lujiazui’s elevated ring road and swanky eateries. Sky-high shopping and chic bars fill the highrises around the area. As is characteristic of a world-class financial business district, some of Shanghai’s best malls and hotels can be found in the neighborhood. While everyone on the famous Bund side of the river gazes in awe at these amazing structures, all the buildings here, as well as Lujiazui’s riverside promenade, offer great views of the historic buildings all along the Puxi side. The Lujiazui park often hosts music festivals throughout the year, and park goers can party and stroll in the shadow of some of the world’s tallest buildings.
