But if you'd prefer to go during the off season be prepared to walk into a ghost town. where none of the locals speak english. But it's easy enough to get to. Hop onto Line 11 (Brown) and get down at the Shanghai Circuit station (the line does appear to diverge at Jiading Xincheng but not to worry, all services... More

We live in Kunshan so went to visit the F1 circuit to do the tour. The metro line 11 stops right at the circuit. The tour is good for only 50 yuan, you get to see the grandstand, media centre, even get to stand on the podium, but a shame that you do not get to see the pits or... More

The location is somewhat out of the city. It is besides for racing also a testcentre to try out a car.

Getting to the circuit by metro is very easy. It takes you right there and is actually less of a walk than if you drive and park. The downside of course is how crowded the place is on race days. As for seating, most of it is excellent views except the lower sections of the grand stand because the fence... More

Great circuit and organization. Metro stop directly to the track ( line 11, stop Shanghai circuit). Ticket prices quite ( area K about 140€). My advice, buy tickets in are K from 2-4 section (closer to the corner where much of the action). Beer and snacks also inexpensive if we compare with other F1 circuits. Seats are cofortable. Great circuit.

This was a perfect weekend for the event, minus the rain. I enjoyed every minute of the Formula One race, as well as the other races, and qualifying. Security was a breeze. Finding my seat was easy. The actual seat was big enough for a normal size person, and plastic, so a cushion would be nice, but not required. The... More

Good circuit and easy to get to by its own Metro station. There are only 3 real stands. The pit lane grandstand, great views of pit activity and the garages from the upper level plus a panoramic view across most of the track. 2 grandstands either side of the hairpin. Again good views. The Chinese do like to stand and... More

Awesome race track. Large seats in gandstand with spaces between each. There's no problem sitting next to a 150kg guy on these seats. Shealtered from the rain. Great architecture. The bottom row is no good because everyone stands up and blocks your view, and nobody stops them. Smokers can smoke freely in the stand, which is no good if ya... More

If you're into this type of thing you will love it! We had a guided tour for 50RMB. Was really cool seeing just what goes into everything. Drivers living areas etc. press and all. Worth it!

This is the formula 1 circuit in Shanghai. The event as such is world class even if the venue as such is so so. Transport to and from the place at the race sunday is difficult. Even if there is a subway station right beside the grandstand it does not have the capacity to accomodate the crowds.
