I was very surprised to visit, what might seem to be, one of the few remaining, long lost gems, examples of the old canal/waterway architecture/culture of Fengjing “Ancient” Town. As some others have mentioned, it does appear to be an undiscovered gem, off the normal...More

It's a relaxing and beautiful place to visit not as restored and commercial as some of the others - the boat ride was lovely and peaceful. My husband even tried the local delicacy of Frog - tasty and a bit fishy .... We caught the...More

Fun place to stroll around and get lost in time. There is no admission fee. The buildings are from the Ming and Qing era and are well maintained. It is a water town with numerous bridges. There are lots of food choices to try.

We visited the village with friends and kids, nice setting, nice street scenes. You can visit the town for free, but you can also get an access pass to visit several houses and exhibition. The visit are well worth it. Only typical Chinese street food...More

Spent an afternoon exploring the area. Not too bad, like other water towns... but upkeep is a bit run-down. The put-off: they sell dog meat! Yucks! I'm not a dog lover but...
