The memorials are laid out in a very pretty setting on a monumental scale. It's very close to the metro and to the Longhua temple. There is an interesting prison on the site which can be visited. It tells an interesting history of communism.

Located to the west of Longhua Temple, a Really well Keep Tribute to the Chinese Martyrs. Advice would be walk staight to the central pyramid (museum) open 9am-3.30pm, Tues-Sun, 5RMB entry. can take a quick walk around the building to see iconic statues (the rest of the Park is just garden areas which locals use as chill out spots)

Located near Longhua Temple. This is a large well kept park. It has many statues and memorials for chinese martyrs. Was a really peaceful walk. If you visit the temple really should visit this place. Very green and very beautiful

The park is a bit outside of the main sites in Shanghai, but worth it to visit. If you are searching for a more quite area to just lay on the grass (which is quite hard to find in Shanghai), this is your place. You can also visit the memorial or the museum. Or still watch other people practicing Tai... More

My colleagues and I happened on this park as we were strolling through the area near our hotel. Well-maintained and quiet, the park offers huge statues that are impressive and expansive open spaces for strolling and contemplation. While the free museum is of greater interest to locals, it's worth visiting for anyone interested in history. There is information in English.

a good place to visit, to see the memorial structures, prison, monuments. Good if you live in Shanghai and have a lot of time for that. If you are a traveler, I would recommend to refrain from visiting it )

This is a memorial park that is well kept and decent. there is a museum for the martyrs in the center with some other features. it isn't too far from xujiahui, so visiting can be convenient. the longhua temple is also close by, so it merits a visit.

This park has historical and memorial legitimacy and is obviously a place held in deep reverence by the citizens of Shanghai. To me, a mere tourist it immediately prompted comparisons with "our own" places of cultural and memorial significance and on those bases this park measures up very well, despite having no personal connection with the events that are memorialised... I wouldn't recommend this park if you're visiting Shanghai, because i think the city has so many other good things to experience, don't waste your time. On the other hand, if you live in Shanghai and want a change of scenary on a sunny day, it's worth it. had a good time during Spring Festival.

Small but near a temple. Interesting if you are Chinese or into Chinese history. Garden is nice with some nice sculptures and ponds.
