I love the building from the outside, that's already worth a photo. Than the art is beautiful, and that living painting is marvelous!! I went with a group of people and all were very impressed...I can look at it for an hour!! The technique of...More

I was fortunate to have two colleagues from work escort me and explain how some of the art related to Chinese history and legends. A good museum for people familiar with western European art and see how some it has been incorporated in Chinese art.

A lot of really nice art in a building that looks like a tesseract. Start on the top floor to see the Qing river scene display. Then work your way down stopping to admire whatever seems interesting. There is a lot to see but it...More

The building is stunning looking from outside. People usually start browsing from the top floor. It's free to entry but to see the famous Chinese painting you need to pay extra 20 bucks. But I personally think it's worth it. It's huge and I don't...More

I managed to find my way around the galleries without problem despite knowing no mandarin. I thought the cartoons were great and some of the more traditional works of interest. I also liked the more contemporary works and sculptures dotted around the grounds? A very...More

Arrived with no expectations to this art museum especially knowing that locals sometimes do not have any respect to the art pieces. Well, few of the local tourists did the usual shenanigans - touching the art pieces and taking selfies with them (which i don't...More

This, along with the entire expo site, seems to be a missed opportunity. The outside of the building is impressive, but the area is one large construction site Whilst in total there is a lot of art, there is much more empty space.

Those instructions are outdated. I actually called the museum to ask if I needed to prebook and was told no need. I went on a Sunday afternoon in October 2015, and there was no line up. Free tickets were given out at the... More
