I visited the Jing'an Temple in September 2017. It is located on West Nanjing Road right near the subway. It is a bit difficult to find the ticket window but the price of a ticket is 50 RMB. The temple is beautiful especially climbing up...More

Although I have heard that the temple is a reconstruction, still it is quite adorable and extreamly beautiful. Worth visiting but not a must.

A temple kept in a modern area , the contrast around, the great wood and marble used , tranquility. The visit will not take long , but it is a place nice to see. Direct access to metro.

This temple is a must see for anyone going to Shanghai. We walked there from the Bund (a long but very nice walk) so we got to see the temple as we approached it. It is so massive that seeing it that way we could...More

Such a great temple in a great area. Amazing the Silver Buda Hall. Unfortunately from outside is so crowded and packed with buildings that it is quite impossible to take a good picture.

Jing'an Temple is a famous Esoteric Buddhist temple in the city of Shanghai, peacefully located amidst busy streets just as its name implies (Jing'an means peace and quiet in Chinese). The old-famed Jing'an District just named after the temple.

An excellent place to visit to understand building a traditional building in modern time. The pillars in the main hall are done in a single solid timer log. Entrance fee is 50 yuan, free entry on the 1st and the 15th day of the lunar...More

入場費太貴50元人民幣都係留返初一十五先去啦! 外面金碧輝煌, 但係好似跟商店用為一體! Admission is too expensive 50 yuan. People said on the first day & the fifteen day of each lunar calendar month are free to go in ! Outside magnificent, but seems it bend with the shops as one! Too commercial for me!

Many Chinese temples are interesting. This one is too: even though the buildings themselves cover a lot of built-up area, the courtyard space is cramped, which makes it slightly less enjoyable. However, it's a busy temple, not just with tourists but also to some extent...More

The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple,
while the main artery of excitement and entertainment
is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French

residents but displays a more commercial character.
Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and
trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing
