As we were in Shanghai for holidays with friend (1st coming in China), after all the crowded area and nightlife, we need to relax and breath. This garden is amazing old style and well preserved. A must enjoy early morning;) A great moment for all

Definitely worth the visit, you could easily forget you are in a city as it’s all beautiful cobble streets with traditional Chinese buildings, lots of shops for souvenirs or gifts and food places outside the garden and it’s quite a busy area! We went around...More

Crowds are on the bridge to watch the koi and the swans before the entrance of Yuyuan Garden. Difficult to take the beautiful pictures without the crowded people. Suggest to visit in the early morning to enjoy the sight seeing of the whole Yuyuan Area.

Just 2 minutes from the subway line 10, entrance fee about RMB10. A lot of Chinese traditional shops, food courts and at least 2-3 Starbucks around this area. A must to visit in Shanghai

Give yourself at least 2 hours to stroll through this entire complex which spans about six city blocks. Restaurants, shops, stalls, cafes and open market are some of the attractions here including 16th and 17th century Shanghainese temple architecture. No less than two STARBUCKS here!...More

Came here before a dinner meeting. The garden, the only part of the place that’s worth visiting, had just closed so I walked around the pedestrian shopping streets surrounding the garden instead. The area was lined with cheesy souvenir shops and eateries. Jam-packed with group...More

The garden is beautiful. It is also in an area the has many many shops and food stands. We were able to get gifts for our family and a little something for ourselves after visiting the gardens.

We really enjoyed the whole experience. You have good contrast between the peaceful garden and the crazy shopping/eating areas that surround it. We spent around 3 hours there. Right next to subway station
