In 2004, Delta Safaris Australian born founder discovered the Mobile-Tensaw Delta in Alabama and fell in love with the the serenity and mystical draw the delta holds to all who spend time with her. He had been searching the world for an untouched wilderness to launch an adventure tour business for a decade, and the Delta answered the call. It was 2007 before the dream became a reality with the birth of Five Rivers Delta Safaris, offering delta eco tours and related services, located at Alabama State Lands newly built Five Rivers Delta Resource Center. Six years later, Delta Safaris is proud to have brought the delta into the hearts and minds of nearly 100,000 guests, creating lasting memories for locals and international travelers alike.

If you have a day off and you are out of ideas you should just go visit this place. Rent a kayak and spend 2 hours on the water. It's very relaxing and a good way to recharge. Beware of gators .

We did not have reservation but went directly to the office. We had a very pleasant encounter with the office staff who quickly signed us up for a tour leaving about a half hour later. There were a small number of passengers in the off season so loading was very quick. Chris was a knowledgeable guide with a pleasant banter.... More

This is a chance to see the delta and downtown Mobile from a new perspective. Lots of interesting information about the history of Mobile as well as what is going on right now. The guides were personable and very knowledgeable. My only criticism is that the sound system needs updating - it was often difficult to hear them over the... More

When good luck or planning finds you near Mobile Bay--don't miss this. The tour had a knowledgeable guide who made sense of everything we saw on our Eco-Tour--and we saw a lot. Birds and plants of every description placed into the historical and ecological context of the delta. Even dolphins were there to greet us. Well worth it for all... More

We booked this tour for a company outing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. The boat was a great size. There were about 23 of us and there was plenty of room to set up food and drinks. Tour guide was excellent, everyone was very impressed by his knowledge of what is currently happening on Mobile Bay as well as its... More

We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour!! Our guide and "captain" was very entertaining and informed. You could tell he had a passion for the job and the tour. We saw one 4' alligator in the bush and along the shore. BUT we saw one large crocodile sunning on a log. He stayed until the pontoon motor was revved up. We... More
