We drove a few hours just to visit the home and see the lights and it was well worth the trip. So much more than expected, it was beautiful at every turn. The home tour was so informative and so beautiful. The whole area was also accessible which was very nice for anyone that needed accessibility. It really put us... More

My family is spread out along the Gulf Coast and every year we have a get together at Bellingrath at start of the Christmas season. The light display is awesome and the best on the coast. The tour of the house is worth the extra ticket and learning the history of the original owners was very interesting as your led... More

When, yesterday around 4pm toured the home at 4:30pm. Sun just setting as we toured the gardens lit with Christmas lights. It wasn't overpowering like Disney, but very relaxing. Most enjoyable time I had without going out of town. It's very friendly for wheel chairs, even tough I don't need one. There's plenty of room for everyone on the paths.... More

We had heard about the Gardens but never thought we would have a chance to visit. The visit occurred on a Saturday afternoon. The weather was picture perfect and Gardens were in full bloom. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. The Garden signage made navigating our way through very easy. I especially enjoyed touring the house and hearing the... More

The number of lights and the amount of time it must take to put them all up is quite impressive. We were disappointed that lots of lights were not working & found it rather pricey.

This was our first visit to the gardens and home. We came to see their Christmas lights. This by far was the prettiest gardens and Christmas light display I've ever seen! We arrived around 2:30 and the Christmas lights started at 5. Arriving early allowed us to see some of the gardens in the day. There are still many flowering... More

We always stop by gardens on our trips and this was one of the best. You must do the home visit too. I didn't realize the Bellingrath's made their fortune from Coca Cola. The grounds are so well maintained and they were getting ready for what looks like and amazing Christmas light show. I only wished we lived closer. It... More

If you live in the Mobile area or are traveling, a visit to Bellingrath Gardens and home is worth your time, money and effort. The drive from Mobile is about 30 minutes; from the I-10 exit at Theodore the drive is approximately 15 minutes. The plants in the gardens change season to season, week to week. Therefore, if you have... More

Bellingrath gardens is a bit of town but well worth the 30 minute drive from Mobile. This is a large acreage of gardens with a historic home that was built in 1935 for the Bellingrath family. Mr. Bellingrath was a bottler with Coca-Cola and had one of the original distributorships for that company. Many of the plants in the gardens... More
