Overview
More
At Arenal Natura Ecological Park you will experience the natural world in a whole new way, where beautiful frogs, birds, reptiles, and their natural habitats will have the starring role. Arenal Natura is a private Biological Station, where we are concerned at the conservation of habitats, as well as reserach and reproduction of amphibians and reptiles, many of these listed as endangered species by CITES. We are located in a section of the tropical rainforest, at the base of the Arenal Volcano, home to a large quantity of species which, with the help of our guides, will give you a new way to view and enjoy these impressive, complex worlds.

You will learn so much about snakes, see some cool frogs and a few other animals/insects. We had to rush the tour a bit due to timing but still had a great time.

We had an exceptional private tour guided by Santiago who was very knowledgeable and great at explaining things in non-scientific terms. His keen sense of humour added to the experience. The variety of frogs was amazing and again Santiago’s ability to spot the tiny creatures...More

It was a wonderful view and we say many birds and plants. We took a hike back down to the entrance. The highlight was finding a pit viper snake curled on a tree. We also saw a coatimundi.

We saw lots of rare frogs, snakes, an armadillo, a hog, and some bats. No sloths this time but we didn't see them anywhere during our stay. The guide was awesome and the thrill of seeking things in the dark is super fun.

Plenty of wildlife and very comfortable paths. Quite busy toward lunch time but didn’t diminish our enjoyment.

Went on a night tour in search of frogs and other wildlife. Chris was our guide and was very knowledgeable. He was good at finding animals. We saw some sloths, possum, rabbit, several frogs, etc.

I'd recommend the animal sanctuary, we did day and learnt and saw do much. Yes within a " zoo" situation but we saw animals and frogs that we would not otherwise had seen
