This was such a wonderful surprise! We brought our own tour guide which made the visit even more informative. This was the only place after four weeks in Costa Rica where we saw a sloth. Definitely worth visiting!

We were recommend to visit Danaus with our small daughter. The best I can say about Danaus is that it is a non-profit organization. The money that we spend (20 USD per person) is at least for a good purpose. We booked a tour with...More

The Ecocentro Danaus is really worth a visit. Take a guided tour for 20$ (approx. 1-1,5 hours) to see all the animals. You can still enter without a guide for 15$ but you won't be seeing as many animals. We got to see different species...More

We chose this for our last day in Costa Rica because we wanted a short, easy hike to look for birds. Our guide Walter was knowledgeable and pointed out the nesting Boat-billed Herons as well as several maniacal wood-rails!

At$20 per person for a 1.5 hour tour, it's expensive, but at least kids are free. A knowledgeable guide points out hidden wildlife. We saw a number of sloths, frogs, birds and caiman. A great experience!
