Whoever said "I'm still full" is spot on! It was a fun and informative afternoon with chef Scott and his crew. The food and drink were plentiful and it was relaxed and easy. If you enjoy quality food and want to learn a little bit about Costa Rican cooking (from an American oddly enough) then you cannot go wrong here.... More

Great cooking class (particularly for couples) with a focus on local cuisines. The venue is incredible - a spacious, open-air kitchen with an outdoor porch surrounded by the rainforest, and overlooking La Fortuna. Chef Scott and his crew are knowledgeable and fun, and the cadence of the cooking class is perfect (cooking time, balanced with relaxed intervals of eating/drinking). The... More

I was looking for activities to do in Costa Rica and came across this idea. I thought it would be cool for and my boyfriend to try it out and it turned it to be awesome! We loved our chef and his staff. He definitely made it a fun and interesting experience, especially for my boyfriend who doesn't like to... More

We had a great time with Cheff Scott Jonathan and Eddy. We were glad to have a hands-on experience with lots of fresh, local ingredients. We made a lot of food! 2 appetizers, 2 mains, 2 sides and a dessert which we want to make for our family when we get back to Canada.Just outside the kitchen we were visited... More

Scott and his two assistants made sure my friend and I had a great experience. The class was 3 hours, and we loved every minute of it. We started off with mandarin lime mojitos and continued to sip those (with many refills) throughout the class. We then made our own fresh tilapia ceviche, patacanos and black bean dip, grilled pork... More

This was an excellent time. We made the classic staple dish called Casado. I went with my girlfriend and we had a private lesson because no one else signed up. I think making the tortillas out of corn flour was my favorite part. We learned quite a bit of history and the host was excellent. All the food was fresh... More

My partner and I spent thanksgiving day with Chef Scott, his team and hurricane Otto and we loved every minute!!! We didn't really know what to expect given our limited knowledge of traditional Costa Rican dishes (ceviche, tropical pork loin, coconut flan, etc...), but Scott walked us through each one and gave us a lot of tips/pointers on how to... Chef Scott and his colleagues (Fabio and Eddy) hosted a fabulous afternoon of cooking and learning about Costa Rica. We couldn't believe how many dishes we got to help prepare and then taste. As promised, the cashew crusted sea bass was the highlight - even for my husband who usually does not like fish! Really delicious. As a bonus the... More

If you enjoy cooking or are a relative newbie you will enjoy this class. Chef Scott Allen, William and Eddy made this a fun and relaxing addition to our holiday. Beautiful setting with lovely views of the arenal volcano and gorgeous food! Especially enjoyed the mojitos, cashew encrusted chicken, coconut flan and surprisingly the cerviche as we are not big... The cooking class is fantastic, if you love to cook like my partner and I, then I highly recommend this class. Not only is the food you make amazing but you are treated to such a beautiful scenic view of Arenal Volcano and the countryside. The staff (Fabio and Eddy) and chef Scott are very friendly, enthusiastic and passionate about... More
