My partner and I spent thanksgiving day with Chef Scott, his team and hurricane Otto and we loved every minute!!! We didn't really know what to expect given our limited knowledge of traditional Costa Rican dishes (ceviche, tropical pork loin, coconut flan, etc...), but Scott walked us through each one and gave us a lot of tips/pointers on how to... Chef Scott and his colleagues (Fabio and Eddy) hosted a fabulous afternoon of cooking and learning about Costa Rica. We couldn't believe how many dishes we got to help prepare and then taste. As promised, the cashew crusted sea bass was the highlight - even for my husband who usually does not like fish! Really delicious. As a bonus the... More

If you enjoy cooking or are a relative newbie you will enjoy this class. Chef Scott Allen, William and Eddy made this a fun and relaxing addition to our holiday. Beautiful setting with lovely views of the arenal volcano and gorgeous food! Especially enjoyed the mojitos, cashew encrusted chicken, coconut flan and surprisingly the cerviche as we are not big... The cooking class is fantastic, if you love to cook like my partner and I, then I highly recommend this class. Not only is the food you make amazing but you are treated to such a beautiful scenic view of Arenal Volcano and the countryside. Scenic, spacious, clean venue with great service. Enjoyed learning how to make Tico dishes, as well as cooking in general. Chef Scott and helpers extremely pleasant and patient in explaining the processes of everything we prepared. Would do it again.

Chef Scott and his staff are like a swiss time watch in the jungle. They work in cohesion with every step of the class. Which makes the learning experience that much better. Set on the second floor of the building the views looked out over the volcano, jungle and valley below. The windows were open and a perfect breeze ran... More

This time we brought family and they were as excited about the experience and we hoped they would be. The individual attention, beautiful surroundings, and phenomenal meal (and mojitos) make this an incredibly worthwhile experience!

If you're going to be in the Arenal, CR area, this is a must do. We had two couples in our group. Everything was better than described on the website. Scott will teach you how to cook amazing Costa Rica Typical food. The staff was great too. We couldn't have had a better day.

We ended up in a private class and had a really great time. The location is great with a breathtaking view, and the food was outstanding. Chef Scott and his crew made us feel right at home instantly. They were also able to accommodate a gluten allergy by having us make the cashew-crusted sea bass without the bread crumbs, and... More

We spent the afternoon learning to cook some dishes with Chef Scott. He is great! First, we were met with mojitos, and then we actually got to start cooking. After each course we were able to sit down and enjoy the food, and get to know Scott and his journey to Costa Rica. The food was absolutely amazing and Scott... More
