We went on the rafting trip down the Rio Pacuare with the class three and four rapids. I was nervous, and so was my 13 year old daughter. My husband is an adrenaline junkie... Well, I can't tell you how much FUN we had! Eduardo was our guide and he was a delight. He also was a terrific rafter, and... More

I went to Costa Rica with some friends for New Years, and this was by far the best part of the trip. Made me wish New Years was at noon, and i had spent it paddling down the Pacuare River with fireworks bursting through the air. Diego (the tour guide & head honcho) was great! Him and his team had... My family did a two-day family adventure with Explornatura - the first day was rafting on the kid-friendly Pejibaye River, and the second day was a canopy tour with zip-lines, hanging bridge and waterfall rappelling. From start to finish, the team was exceptionally helpful and friendly. We were grateful to have such expertly-trained guides who were also a lot of... More

Our family of four had a fantastic time rafting down Rio Pacuare. As kayaker ourselves from Canada we were impressed by this company, their guide, safety kayaker and photographer, they all were professionals and safe. We were well taken care of and pleased that the river had some fun class 4 drops to make things exciting. A wonderful lunch was... More

We rafted the Rio Pacuare with this company, which was offered by the place we were staying. The excursion included round trip transportation from our accommodations, the rafting trip, and lunch. They had a photographer shooting photos of each raft throughout the day and their photos were an additional cost, but worth it in my opinion. The only snag we... More

My boyfriend and I had a great time rafting the Pacuare, one of the best white water rafting rivers in the world. As it was the end of low season and explornatura are a small company, we were actually the only two rafting that day. It was a great, unique experience with a wonderful guide whose strength and expertise made... More

It is so nice to know about your experience with us. Thank you for pointing out about the kayaker doing his job. Our guides know that the safety is first, doing pictures and safety kayaking for the same person is not a good idea. Our cooking staff say Muchas Gracias for your comments about the lunch. I hope your can... More

First I should start by saying the guides and equipment for this tour were 5/5 great. However we are experienced rafters and were looking for some really great rapids, unfortunately due to heavy rain we were not allowed to raft Pacuare River for safety reasons and were instead advised to do the Pejibaye River. This river maybe good for some... More

My husband and I took 2 tours with Explornatura: The Coffee Plantation and the Canyoning. The latter is actually created and executed by Explornature (versus the coffe one, for which they are just the brokers) at the base camp. The Canyoning was beyond amazing! My husband and I visited Turrialba during the low season so we were lucky enough to... More
