I guess that when you go on holidays and the place you stayed at is not what you expected or is simply awful, you will not share it with your friends, on social media, blogs, etc. No, you'll pretend you had a good time! That's why I trusted what I read about this place: a non assuming pretty little beach... More

Having been travelling around Costa Rica including visits to many of its totally undeveloped and stunning southern beaches, arrival at Brasilito was a shock! We certainly don't agree that this place has charm and a local feel. In fact, the whole place was a mess, with endless quads, trucks and cars rumbling noisily through on route to playa conchal. The... More

Playa Brasilito is a totally underrated beach. I found the waves excellent for body surfing and the beach quiet and untouristy. If you walk North on the beach there is a completely quiet area with a little island out front you can swim out to. Yes the water has sand in it and doesn't look as clean as the water... More

We are staying in Brasilito as part of our honeymoon trip. We chose the area as it was described as 'local', which is what we want when we travel abroad...if we didn't, I don't see why we would bother travelling! So we arrived in Brasilito. What was nice was that the restaurants, bars, houses were typical Costa Rican generally, and... More

By far, the prettiest, least crowded and widest beach we explored in Guanacaste. Had a rental car, so went to

There are beach experiences and then there's this. We drove up to a small cove with crystal clear water. There are hundreds of fish available to view with snorkel and views on all sides above water. We chose a canopy with six chairs for $20 and an hour in, a plate with a lobster and two huge fish were presented.... More

The beach in front of the town is just average. It struck me as dirty and the water is not very clear. It is not far to a much prettier beach, either Conchal to the south or north to Playa Flamingo.

This beach and small village are simple and pure. You truly have no worries here. A few outdoors cafes and small vendors. Extremely appreciative for your business.

Stopped by Brasilito and Conchal to do some horse back riding. Our tour guides name was Jose Matagalpa. He didn't speak English but luckily we know Spanish. He gave us a discount on a two hour tour from Brasilito to Conchal and back. We stopped at a restaurant mid point and had a few beers and soft drinks. We even... More

Brasilito is a great little town just next to Playa Conchal. It has a nice beach, plenty of shops and unique restaurants. It is well worth the time to investigate during your stay
