Beautiful, well maintained facility with trails that lead over gorges and rivers via high, hanging bridges. Lots of beautiful flowers, plants, birds, animals. Going with a guide means you see and learn much more than you would on your own, but it also means you're standing around much more than actual hiking. Binoculars a big plus.

I enjoyed this walk through a rainforest with several suspended hanging Bridges and I used the guide to get the most out of it which I would recommend. It was raining the entire time as he said it rains "366 days a year" there and the wildlife we saw was minimal. we saw one monkey at the end, we saw... More

This is a hike through part of a rain forest. The guide was very careful to set expectations advising that sometimes they see a great deal of wild life and sometimes the animals are more difficult to spot. We were very luck as we saw two types of monkeys, toucans, tarantulas, bats, spiders, butterflies and various birds. The guide recognized... More

This is part of the National Park and we did not really understand what we were going to see until we got there. The view from the side of the mountain was simply fantastic, and the gardens were some of the most beautiful that I have seen. As we moved through the walking paths and the bridges, we were able... Another must do excursion! Pick a clear day so you can get the most out of the volcano views. The hanging bridges and waterfalls are exciting. It is a pretty good hike and there are areas that require physical activity, such as climbing. Love it and would go back again.

This excursion is like buying a book based on the cover. It was a nice excursion but not five stars at least not for my wife and me. I will caveat my review by stating it rained for most of our time there - not wildly but consistent - rain level would be say 3 out of 10 (10 being... More

A wonderful experience! We had great weather and a great guide, Andres. We don't usually go for group tours, preferring to be on our own. That would have been a huge mistake this time. Our guide spotted so much amazing wildlife that we would have never seen even if we knew where to look: sloths, snakes, ants, bats, birds, and... More

If you're in the Arenal area, this park is definitely worth a visit. It took us about 2 hours to get through all the trails. The views from the hanging bridges were beautiful and we couldn't believe how high up some of them were!! It only cost about $20 US for admission and the hiking is not too difficult. We... More

We took a taxi to the hanging bridges and took the tour with a guide. We did not have prior reservations. It was just my husband and I on the tour with the guide. We saw howler monkeys, a toucan, viper snake, lizard, bats sleeping under a large leaf, and a sloth. We would have only seen the howler monkeys... More

The grounds of this attraction are simply stunning, and the bridges tour is a must for birders and anyone interested in learning about flora and fauna. The guides are really knowledgeable.
