Walked around the beach and even bought a "pipa" coconut to drink. We found sand dollar alive in the sand near the water. We went during low season the beach was practically our to walk. The waves were not huge but the water did get deep kind of quick. Nice white sands but not as many shells on the beach.

The beach here is a beautiful spot to enjoy the surf and sand of the Pacific. Somewhat secluded yet close to ammenities, It's the perfect spot to enjoy a few hours of fun and then head to nearby Samara for lunch and shopping.

The beach is spectacular. The rows of palm trees make this a wonderful spot to spend the day protected from the tropical sun. The sand is light but the water can be far from the shade and you'll have to run or risk burning your delicate feet. The waves can be large for children and adults. It's a beach break... More

Beautiful, mostly deserted, palm-lined, absolutely gorgeous beach. Unfortunately again, the water wasn't that calm, too many waves for me to really super enjoy it. However, we certainly enjoyed just hanging out on the (very hot sand) beach and looking to the right and left and really seeing hardly any people. One of the prettier beaches on our trip this year.

This is a wonderful beach for picnics, swimming and beach walks. Unfortunately it lacks basic facilities like toilets, garbage cans and a place to eat or drink. Many good spots to hang your hammock.

This is without question the very best beach anywhere. There are coconut trees all around the beach. NO BUSINESSES on the beach but picnic tables, the sand is white and the water slopes gently into the warn ocean. If you want to swim, have a picnic or run on the beach then this is the place. If you want to... More

Of the half dozen beaches in the Samara area, this was by far our favorite for swimming. As others have mentioned, there are numerous palm trees that provide shade as you'll need it in the hot CR sun. Be FOREWARNED that the sand from the tree line to the wet sand is VERY hot. You will need sandals to walk... More

This is by far my favourite beach that I have been on. White sand beaches, large waves to play in. I love the row of palm trees that provide shade, as we can't be in the hot Costa Rica sun for too long. Bring a picnic and a hammock and enjoy your day! It doesn't get any better! Wear water... More

We've been going in the mornings before the major heat of the day. Bring a hammock and hang in the shade- the beach stays mostly quiet because people are set up in the line of Palm trees.

We went for sunset and there was hardly anyone there. No hawkers selling you knick knacks either. Just a beautiful long stretch of beautiful beach and waves. Waves for miles... Makes amazing panoramic pictorial. One of the nicest beaches I've ever been to.
