This was my excursion for my cruise stop in Limon. It was raining the entire day, so very appropriate to visit the rain forest. :) Gondola ride was very cool; too bad it was overcast with low cloud cover, otherwise I'm sure the views were amazing. Walk to the waterfall was fun - with the rain, it was roaring! There... More

The Rain Forest is inhabited by various wildlife. Two and Three Toed Sloths are the main attraction. They are found in trees surrounding the waterways. Howler Monkeys are also in the same area along with many types of birds. The weather is very hot and humid - 98 degrees in April.

This was an excursion offered by our NCL cruise. You take a bus to the park and then tour the site. The exhibits familiarize you with the reptiles, snakes, birds and butterflies here. All very informative. Then you take a tram ride to a trail that take you to a lovely waterfall. It was great to glide through the rainforest... More

This is a great place to learn about the local wildlife with an English speaking guide. The tram was quite fun. However it cost 69USD to enter (includes guided tour)

The plants are huge! On the walk to the waterfall there is an enormous tree where you can have your photo taken practically inside it. Don't be dismayed by the 300 stairs on the Trail of the Giants on the way to the waterfall. They are not that bad as you go both up and down to reach the waterfall.... More

We did 11 zip lines. Helpers were all nice and congenial. The area wasn't that pretty and we didn't see any wildlife.
