I don't have anything new to add that wasn't already mentioned in the other rave reviews, I just want to add to the chorus of compliments. Jeff gave a wonderful, personal, informative tour and the chocolate tasting at the end was such a treat. We bought $60 worth of chocolate to take home with us!

The tour was well worth it. Not only do you learn about the whole chocolate making process, you get to taste test the different stages. It will not be what you expect. Towards the end you try different estate frown chocolates in a wonderfully beautiful setting. Just the view makes it all worthwhile.

If you have the time this is definitely something you should do when in the area. The tour was fantastic, very informative and took you through the entire process 1st hand from how the cacao is grown, harvested and put to use to the final product. Excellent tasting session also from the observation area at the top of the hill... More

Jeff, the owner, guided us three hours long through his property. Not only the walk through mango and chocolate trees was pleasant, the view at the top was simply stunning. We learned a lot about old fashioned chocolate production (as opposed to industrial production), I will never ever eat Hershey or Nestlé chocolate. Also interesting how they help locals to... More

This is a nice tour. The plantation is beautiful with lovely views across the coast. The chocolate is better than I expected and they go all out with the presentation for the chocolate-tasting. The only reason why this doesn’t get five stars is because ultimately the owner is a US expatriate - who learnt everything from scratch and who looks... More

Thank you for your review. Our tour is authentic to our story. Yes there are many options for tours and many "gringos" living in Costa Rica. We hire and work with local indigenous experts who are the only reason we have a successful cacao farm. We have learned many things from Wikipedia and even YouTube. We have trained local women... We had a free afternoon in Cocles so wandered down to Caribeans...so very glad we did! Not only was the tour wonderful and the chocolate AMAZING, we also enjoyed Paul and Jean very much - their passion is inspiring! We saw lots of wildlife along the way too. You will be blown away by the chocolate tasting...the most incredible chocolate... More
