After spending time at the Jaguar Rescue Center, we had hopes of an interesting visit to the Kekoldi Indigenous Reserve. We.re still not sure why, but no one was there. Lunch break maybe? We saw many cages of iguanas that are being raised any released.

We learnt how the Bribri made different medicines, cosmetics and artefacts from the forest, which was fascinating. We also saw how chocolate was made, from cacao bean all the way to a hot chocolate drink! A great tour.

Kekoldi is a great cultural experience with native Bribri that allows you to discover their perception on the forest ecosystem, plants and wildlife. It is better to spend at least a half day in Kekoldi and to share a traditional meal with a Bribri family....More
