We would totally recommend a visit to Neo Fauna. It is a very small establishment, engaged in conservation and education. My children, aged 9 and 12, and I all learned a lot and were engaged throughout the tour. Plenty of photo ops. Lots to learn....More
We went with our 8 year old and got a your with David (who interrupted his lunch for us). He was very knowledgeable and patient, a natural-born teacher.

This is a small animal sanctuary/zoo outside of Jacó. It's small (you can see everything in under 30 minutes), but the animals are pretty cool. The highlights were the frogs and white faced capuchin monkeys, and there are also reptiles (snakes, caimans, turtles) and butterflies....More

We had mixed opinions before our visit, not knowing what to expect. So was it worth the visit and $25 entry?
Our guide Jose was very pleasant and spoke good English. Imparting lots of interesting information about the frogs and animals we saw.
