We spent an enjoyable 30 minutes at the Farmers Fair in Quepos. Located just a few blocks south of the marina, we dropped by on a Friday night to take a look. The produce for sale is top notch and it is really a visual delight to wander the booths and observe the locals making their purchases from a place... More

Lots of nice fruits and vegetables here, as well as some souvenirs. It gives you a taste of local culture since its not touristy and mostly for the locals. Its very close to the marina. There's always a lot of dogs hanging out in front and they look hungry, so bring along some treats for them if you can!

We took the local bus from our hotel in Manuel Antonio to this delightful local farmers market. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, crafts, etc. We purchased a pineapple, avocados, papayas and bananas. We also found some lovely local craft items at a good price. We walked around the town of Quepos, and found a nice bakery. We enjoyed fresh... More

The somewhat hidden ceviche selection available from the fresh fish guy was out of this world. I didn't even notice it was available for purchase until a local walked up and bought a few. It's incredible, and not to mention $3 USD. It is a small portion so stock up if you find yourself here. I sure wish I did.... More

What a treat this was! Yes it's small, but there is a lot packed into a small area! Felt incredibly safe and the locals were more than friendly and engaging. I purchased some yellowfin tuna that was the freshest, most tasty tuna I've ever had! Seared it and ate it rare that night. It was delicious! The Ticos are such... More

Every Friday evening - Saturday morning Quepos holds an awesome market where farmers from all over Costa Rica come to sell their goods. It’s best to get there as early as possible to get the best selection. There are several fruit and veggie stands, some jewelry and clothing, and a couple egg and dairy stands. There is only one organic... More

Very fun to visit. We tried and purchased delicious fruits we had never heard of before. We also bought some ginger cookies. Many options and neat arts and crafts. Beautiful views and fun people watching. Begins Friday at 4 and goes through Saturday mid day. Farmers pick fruit at 4 am to come and sell. Also shrimp and fish for... More

We purposely booked a vacation rental at Jungle Creek to have a kitchen for a few days to cook our catch from a fishing trip and take advantage of the farmer's market in Quepos. We went both Friday night and Saturday morning. The produce is amazing- best avocados, pineapple, papaya etc. and the prices are very inexpensive. if you don't... More

Our concierge strongly recommended this farmers market to us. We have been to many farmers markets all over the world so our expectations were pretty high. We were a little disappointed that it was so small. It was a nice place to locate fresh fruits and vegetables. Some stands sold jewelry and souvenirs to bring home. We had very fresh... More
