Seemed there was nothing Karen Castillo couldn't do... we saw everything: sloths (including babies!), monkeys, tree frogs, freely roaming raccoons!!!!, a baby deer, lizards (cool basilisks also), owls, some other bird that was on the ground and covering its babe... so interesting, and a land crab who had an amazing bright blue and red body. We wouldn't have seen 90%... More

Manuel Antonio is notoriously busy and crowded, and there's no getting around that. However, to make the most of your visit, you'll need a great guide, and we are lucky we found Karen. Even the other guides in the park (all of whom are friends and know each other) are impressed with her eagle eye spotting ability. She's very kind,... More

Do not try to see the park without a guide. Karen was unbelievable in spotting birds, sloths and monkeys. She loves the park and it shows.

My wife have traveled all over the world and taken hundreds of private tours. We've never had a better guide. We asked her to take us to the Manual Antonio National Park. She offered a group tour or a private tour, and we opted for just the 2 of us going with her. I understand she later had many requests... More

Karen was out tour guide for our family of four (including kids ages 11 and 13), along with another family with a teenager and we learned so much! Karen is superbly knowledgeable about Manuel Antonio Park and where to look for certain animals and insects that inhabit the area. Her spotting scope allowed for me to take fantastic photos on... Karen Castillo Blanco was our guide. She was very personable and had a eye for finding the invisible. She was able to pick out interesting wildlife and allow to see them in her telescope. Karen was able to shoot pictures for us with our iPhones. Terrific guide

One of the best tours we took in Costa Rica! Karen picked us up at our Hotel, took us on a great tour, had a snack with us, and dropped us back off - On of the BEST Days of our trip to CR. I can't speak highly enough about Karen. She was professional, very knowledgeable and great company. She... More

Karen's extensive knowledge and superior equipment enabled us to see everything from the expression on a baby howler monkey's face to a beautiful 1/4 inch spider sitting in its web - and all of this hundreds of feet from where we stood! Our entire visit was never rushed. Even when the park was crowded, she helped us experience the rainforest... More

Karen met us where our ship docked and drove to Manuel Antonio Park. She was amazing and found many animals that we could not even see with the naked eye. We saw sloths, deer, monkeys, a bat and tiny tree frogs to name a few. Karen was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain many interesting facts about the animals... More

Thrilled that we decide to tour Manual Antonio National Park with Karen. She was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable on the area and animals. Karen usually takes 2-8 people on her tours. We decided to spend a little extra money and do a private tour, and we loved the personal attention. My husband and I have traveled extensively and it was... More
