Its a sweet little park - with some great big trees with few people sitting around relaxing but filled with noisy Parrots - hundreds and hundreds of them.

Big trees offer pleasant respite from the city bustle, it has beautiful tropical view, but the main statue, a monument for Juan Vasquez de Coronado is sprayed over with red graffiti, the fountain in front is not working, lots of trash around and it did...More

The huge tropical trees defy the never ending traffic that surrounds this park and provide a lovely oasis. We walked through on the way to the Jade Museum and were impressed with how well maintained it was. Interesting tribute to their colonial history.

The park itself is nice, quiet and tropical. The statue of Juan Vasquez de Coronado (Spanish founder of Costa Rica) has graffiti on it, the fountain he faces was not working and there was trash all around. Overall, not well maintained.

There were lots of people around. Sometimes there was music. Sometimes there was the selling crafts. Very well located. It was a really beautiful plaza.

A good respite location that is close to the hustle and bustle of downtown San Jose. A fantastic site for lunch and a coffee.

Quite close to the jade museum, this small square does have a cool fountain and some interesting statuary, but otherwise isn't particularly noteworthy. It could be just a nice spot to sit and cool off on a hot day.
