La Sabana is a decent size park in San Jose. I would agree that it is well worn but it does serve a purpose and lots of football fields, cycling, walking etc. lots of damaged seats.

This is a large park frequented on weekends by the local community. It seems to have seen better days and has been hurt by the recent drought. Not a must see but we stayed near here.

Dried out pond , closed public bathrooms guarded by the police. All together- very poorly maintained park. Not worth it at all .

A nice park with paved paths, a lake, sculptures made from wood and concrete, sitting areas, a running/cycling track, a snack shack, trees and bushes and amazing birdsong.

I walked around the park after a trek from the central district. Traffic is very busy in this city. It's a great relief to have such a green space near the urban core. It could use some more thought about layout and perhaps add some more gardens and plaques to native plants, but otherwise very pleasant. Unfortunately, you have to pay to use the washrooms but that was minor. They were clean, which was appreciated, unlike some cities I could mention. I also like seeing the police patrolling regularly and have a lot of respect for the local force.

Peaceful oasis in a sea of traffic. The park is well laid out and graced with many flowering trees. The lake had no water in it ,
At one end is the beautiful national stadium .
There are lots of picnic tables and shady spots to picnic. There are venues for just about every sport imaginable from beach volleyball to tennis. Every city should have a park like this,

Dirty, run down park with nothing in it. The ponds that show blue on the map are green algae covered unattractive pools.

I live close to Parque la Sabana--and walk my dog there just about every morning.
It is a well maintained urban park, with excellent security. We have not had a problem--for years--there are guards and police on foot, bikes, etc. We like it mucho.

The lakes and water features are all dried up. Many of the art and sculpture has been vandalized and not maintained. The park is pro trolled by security on horseback and arc.
