They will take care of you and get you some nice Cuban cigars to take home. If you have time waiting at the airport, it is about a 30 minute cab ride to downtown San Jose. Stop in, buy a cigar to smoke there and have Greta order you drinks from the connected bar and you can even get lunch... More

Rick, please call Carol L in US at 941-228-9980 for a cigar order. I want to order more of your Max Von specials.

Wanted to see and buy my first Cuban cigar and was not disappointed. Rick was very helpful and patient as I was a complete novice. Cash only which was a bummer since my debit card wasn't working with local ATMs. Cuban cigars range from $15 (Romeo and Juliet) to $40. But all the reason to come back again next time... More

Not only is the Havana Humidor Room an authorized Habanos S.A. shop, it's also the home of the wonderful Trenza de Nicaragua Limited Edition "Max Von" line of hand-rolled, Costa Rican made, Nicaraguan-tobacco "puros" - which are simply exceptional cigars. Prices are reasonable, selection is outstanding, ambiance is delightful. Wherever you are going in Costa Rica, if you enjoy partaking... More

Rick and Bruce are fine hosts, and they have a walk in humidor with a very large selection of Cubans cigars. Great conversation, comfortable environment - I've been know to doze off in one of those armchairs!

Every time I am in San Jose I stop by for a smoke. Yes it is small, Yes it's only cash, but the cigars a great and the people are friendly. Love this PLACE, an Oasis for Cigar smokers in San Jose.

Found the cigar room only with the help of GPS. Entered to find a tiny room and two smug individuals. I have smoking cigars daily for 15 years but they made me feel stupid. When I asked to see a box of Cuban cigars they brought out a box with the seals broken saying that they had to open it... More

This is the best place in San Jose to buy and smoke cigars. The only place to buy authentic Cuban cigars in San Jose. Rick who runs the place is a great guy. Try the Costa Rican cigars rolled from Nicaraguan Tobacco they are very good and reasonably priced. Cash only in the store, sorry no credit cards.

This is my fourth time to the Havana Humidor Room and I always have a relaxing time with a good cigar and a coffee or beer. The selection of cigars is terrific and I always leave with enough to last me a while. My only criticism is that the humidor room seems to be becoming a storage room for other... More

Rick was amazing. Very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and just a fun guy. My family and I talked his ear off on a Saturday afternoon and loved every minute of it. I wish I could go back today. A true highlight of CR for us and the rest of our trip was just as amazing. Cash only is the only bummer... More
